Boiler repairs and breakdowns
No heating, no hot water, a fault code on the display, pressure that keeps dropping or radiators that stay cold. A Gas Safe registered engineer finds the cause, explains what is wrong and agrees the repair with you before any work goes ahead.
To help us come prepared, tell us the boiler make and model, any fault code, and what the boiler is doing. A photo of the boiler and its label is ideal. Send it on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form.
Annual boiler servicing
Manufacturers recommend a service every 12 months, and most boiler warranties require it. The exact checks follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your boiler. A service typically includes:
- a visual check of the boiler, flue, pipework and ventilation
- checking the gas pressure and that the boiler is burning gas correctly, using a flue gas analyser
- testing the safety devices and controls
- cleaning or replacing parts where needed, such as the condensate trap
- a written service record for your warranty and home insurance
Booking before winter means fewer surprises when you need the heating most.
New boilers and replacements
If your boiler is old, unreliable or no longer suits the house, we can replace it. We look at your hot water needs, the radiators and the pipework, and recommend the right type of boiler for the house, whether that’s a combi or a system with a hot water cylinder.
You get a fixed written quote before any work starts. New boilers are installed by Gas Safe registered engineers, notified through Gas Safe Register, and you receive the Building Regulations compliance certificate.
Radiators, controls and hot water
Central heating work beyond the boiler:
- new, replacement and repositioned radiators
- thermostatic radiator valves, room thermostats and programmers
- hot water cylinders
- power flushing to clear sludge from the system
Because the same team also does plumbing, electrical and building work, a boiler move or a new heating layout during a renovation can be handled in one plan.
Landlord gas safety checks (CP12)
Landlords must have gas appliances, flues and pipework they provide checked every 12 months by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and give tenants a copy of the record. We can combine the check with the boiler service in one visit. See landlord & commercial services for gas safety, EICRs and repairs between tenancies.

Smell gas? Call the gas emergency line first.
If you smell gas or think there is a leak, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away (24 hours). If it is safe to do so, turn the gas off at the meter, open doors and windows, and don’t use electrical switches or naked flames. Once the emergency service has made the supply safe, we can repair the fault.

Once a year. Boiler manufacturers recommend an annual service, and most boiler warranties depend on it. A regular service helps the boiler run safely and efficiently, and catches worn parts before they cause a breakdown. If you rent your property out, you also need an annual gas safety check.

Check the pressure gauge against your boiler manual, which usually shows how to top it up. If the pressure keeps dropping, there may be a leak or a faulty part, so book a repair. Tell us the boiler make and model and any fault code on the display when you get in touch.
